Film Poster Moodboard
The film posters were taken from a range of genres, and the separate signs and signifies of genre are distinct in each. I particularly love the poster for Moonlight, which shows the different stages of the male protagonist's life, and therefore shows a progression of time from left to right. The colours gradually get darker as you go from left to right, denoting that his innocence is lost as he grows older, and could highlight that dark themes are raised in the film.
Moreover, other posters linked to the horror and thriller genre typically have red writing, which signifies blood which is associated with slasher films and horrors. The text is normally non-cursive, in fonts such as 'Times New Roman' or a typeface unique to the film, so that it is easy to read. This would be something we look to recreate with our own film poster.
Very nice visual aid however, lacks explanation as to what these posters have taught you and why they have been included in your blog :)
