“ONE”
SHOOTING SCRIPT

EXT – OUTSIDE AMELIA’S HOUSE (EVENING)
                  Establishing shot of Amelia walking to car on her phone
AMELIA (SPEAKING INTO PHONE) – Yeah, I know, I know I’m late. I’m coming alright.
                  Amelia opens car door, and radio music plays.
                                                      HANNAH – Took you long enough.
                  They both sing along to the radio. The music abruptly stops as the car crashes.



INT – SUPPORT GROUP (MORNING)
                  Black screen and production company logo appears.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – Hey, my name’s Amelia
                  Long shot of Amelia standing up, surrounded by other teenagers her age.
AMELIA (VOICE OVER CONTINUED IN SHOT) – I was in a car crash last month and lost someone very close to me.
                  Amelia sits down. Medium shot of Scott appearing at the doorway.
                                                      SCOTT – Oh, sorry I’m late.
                  Medium shot of support group leader as Scott takes a seat.
                                                      SUPPORT GROUP LEADER – No worries, Scott



INT – SCHOOL CAFÉ (MIDDAY)
                  Six teenagers in the support group sit around a table in the café. Rosie enters the café.
                                                      KRIS – Hey Rosie, how’d your physics test go?
                                                      ROSIE – It was good, thanks.
                  The group laughs.
AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – I usually hang out with Hayley. I met her in the support group.
                  Music fades out.



INT – SUPPORT GROUP (MORNING)
Long shot of six of the seven teenagers are sat down in the support group. Rosie is not present.
                                                      KRIS – Has anyone seen Rosie today?
                                                      HAYLEY – I tried calling her, but she didn’t pick up.
                  Cinematic boom sounds, and shot fades out to black.



INT – BATHROOM (NIGHT)
                  Amelia is staring at herself in the mirror, with a worried look on her face.
                                                      SCOTT (VOICE OVER) – Tell me something about yourself.
                  Close-up of paracetamol packet. Best before date is shown as 6/06/06.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – There’s not much to tell.



EXT – CINEMA (NIGHT)
                  Long shot of the six teenagers outside the cinema.
                                                      DYLAN – Bagsie isle seat!
                  Long shot of Dylan sprinting into cinema. Kris is quick to follow.
                                                      KRIS – Race you for it!

                                                      AMELIA – Wait, what’s up with that poster?
                                                      EMILY – What do you mean?

                  Amelia and Emily enter cinema.



INT – CAFÉ (AFTERNOON)
                  Medium shot of Scott and Amelia talking in a café.
                                                      HAYLEY (VOICE OVER) – So you and Scott, eh?



INT – LIVING ROOM (EVENING)
                  Mid shot of Amelia watching the news.
NEWS WOMAN (ON TV) – Two teenagers have disappeared from the Tonbridge and Malling area in the past week: Rosie Buxton and Kris hooks.
                  Close-up of news screen.
NEWS WOMAN (ON TV) – If you have any information, please contact the police immediately.



INT – SCHOOL CORRIDOR (MORNING)
Wide shot of Amelia walking down a school corridor. All of the numbers on the lockers are number five.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – This is going to sound ridiculous
Close-up of Amelia blinking. Then wide shot of lockers, where the locker numbers have returned to normal.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER CONTINUED) – but I keep on seeing numbers.



INT – SUPPORT GROUP
                  Mid shot of empty chair in support group.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – There’s some kind of pattern
                  Wide shot of the five remaining teenagers and support group leader.
                                                      SUPPORT GROUP LEADER – So how’s everyone doing this week?
                                                      HAYLEY – Yeah, not too bad. Better than last week.
                  Beat starts playing in the background.



EXT – PARK (MIDDAY)
                  Mid shot of Scott and Amelia sitting on a bench together.
                                                      AMELIA – I’m scared
Montage of shots. Close up of car number plate displaying fours, and cut out newspaper articles of all of the teenagers that have disappeared so far.
                                                      AMELIA CONTINUES (VOICE OVER) – I think I’m going crazy
                  Heavy breathing.
INT – SCHOOL CORRIDOR (AFTERNOON)
Mid shot of Amelia walking in school corridor. She sees a number three on the door of a classroom.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – Every time I see
INT – SCHOOL CLASSROOM (AFTERNOON)

INT – SCHOOL CAFÉ (MORNING)
                  Mid shot of Amelia and Hayley talking.
                                                      AMELIA CONTINUED – someone disappears.



EXT – TRAIN STATION (AFTERNOON)
                  Mid shot of train time board, displaying all of the times as ‘3:33.’
CONDUCTOR – The next train to Charing Cross departs at 12:47 pm on Platform three.

                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – I’m worried Hayley might be next.



INT – AMELIA’S BEDROOM (NIGHT)
Mid shot of Amelia sat in bed on her phone. Phone rings (close-up), and Amelia answers. Hayley’s mum is on the other end of the phone sounding panicked.
                                                      HAYLEY’S MUM (OVER PHONE) – Where are you? Is Hayley there?
                                                      AMELIA – No. Why?
                                                      HAYLEY’S MUM (OVER PHONE) – She hasn’t come home.
Aerial shot of Amelia falling back onto her pillow. She places her phone on her bedside table, looking distressed and on the verge of tears.



INT – SCHOOL CORRIDOR (MORNING)
                  Wide shot of Amelia looking for Scott in school corridor.
                                                      AMELIA – Where’s Scott? Has anyone seen Scott?
                  Cinematic boom sounds.



EXT – ROAD (NIGHT)
                  Long shot of car going down road of residential area at night.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – There is a pattern to the numbers.



INT – DARK ROOM (N/A)
                  Close-up of Amelia’s face.
                                                      AMELIA (VOICE OVER) – I am number one.
